Looking, looking, looking
at this thing I call "life"
frightened at every corner
waiting for the pain to strike
confidence, hopes and dreams
....gone
alone on the
proverbial shore
anyway
i'm alone
again
only this time
i'm taking others with me
i don't know how in the world i missed this posting but it is wondeful! my friend, you are more than welcome to take me 'down' with you...certainly, i've enjoyed the trip so far and i'm not a stranger to pain...let's go!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sheri. By taking others w/me I mean that so often I hold my own life and feelings in restraint b/c I'm so worried about how others may feel. I am learing that sometimes it is okay to say "no" and let others deal with the consequences of their own behavior. Or even to confront others on their negative/dysfunctional behavior. It always feels good to have an ally and I know I can rely on you!!! Thanks for being who you are!
