mag 25

some say
the eyes are the keys to the soul

i know where the key lies

the key is to see
the lies
with the eyes of my soul

swallow the key

close the I's

never to be opened

unless
picked by an
unwelcome intruder
...or blind trust

there is no key

only the i of my soul

  3. "never to be opened"...wow, never is such a long time for the soul to be locked up :( but, who am i to talk? the pain we evoke on one another can be so traumatic, enough to bring your words to pass, and understandably so! this is beautiful...poignant, and deeply final.

  10. Someone sliced through the eyes
By the stroke of a key.
All the truth seeping out... Or tears.

  11. dear suz, it's about love and betrayal. then using the defense mechanism of locking the heart away. but to continue to live and love that defense doesn't work---so there is no key. with the help of God (and a good therapist :) life reopens and love enters in again
